![]() ![]() You need Winamp to play some music so it can visualise it.Id like something that directly makes the audio available to WinAmp on the computer. Click on the OK button to close the configuration window Milkdrop 2 is a plug-in for WinAmp so I have spent some time playing with the LineIn plugin which works ok but is not ideal because I actually have to use a microphone next to the speakers to get it to work.On this page, you should see the option for ‘Enable Spout output’, which should be ON.Select the ‘MORE SETTINGS’ tab at the top Click on the ‘Configure’ button (at the bottom of this Window). In the window that opens, click once where it says ‘Milkdrop v2.25c vis_milk2.dll’ – not the ‘Plug-in module:’ (this is the file you copied over from the Spout directory). In Winamp’s menu, choose Options -> Visualization -> Select plug-in… (or press Ctrl+K).If it asks you to add media to library, just skip this for now.If this is the first time you have run Winamp, just choose the default start up options. It will also ask you if you want to overwrite the existing file (overwrite it).I finally got my config to work so I saw this interesting option for mesh rate which says the higher the rate the more taxing on the GPU but increased fidelity. Windows will double-check that you want to allow it to copy the file into this directory (allow it) But with or without something plugged into my line in jack on the back of my rig when I type linein:// and then turn on my visualizer I get a seemingly active display of milk drop.Paste the file by pressing Ctrl+V on your keyboard.Go to the Winamp installation directory (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Winamp\Plugins).Copy the vis_milk2.dll file (left-click on it once to select it and then press Ctrl+C on your keyboard). ![]() ![]()
